Michael Muldoon acted for a client in dispute with Betfair who finally agreed to settle a bet placed in March 2012. Horse racing fans may be aware of the winning horse “El Libertador”, a nine year old Bay Gelding.
The bet was placed and won on 7 March 2012 but due to alleged irregularities in betting patterns, Betfair withheld the substantial winnings from our client pending investigation by the British Horse Racing Authority.

Investigation by the British Horseracing Authority

Throughout the course of an exhaustive investigation by the British Horseracing Authority, our Michael Muldoon attended the headquarters of the British Horseracing Authority in London with our client to deal with the investigation.

Successful Conclusion

We are pleased to announce that following our involvement, our client was cleared of any wrong doing and his winnings were subsequently released to him by Betfair on 15 July 2015.
