eVisa Transition Period Extended
The UK government has extended the eVisa transition period, pushing the deadline from 31 March 2025 to 1 June 2025.
This means that until 1 June 2025, individuals holding expired Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) or Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs)—provided their immigration status remains valid—can continue using these documents for travel to the UK.
However, from 2 June 2025 onward, expired BRPs and BRCs will no longer be accepted as proof of immigration status when entering the UK.
This extension offers additional time for those affected to adjust to the new eVisa system.
